Terms of Use

Screen Lock for Android (com.makekk.screenfrezzer) · published by makekk · last updated

These terms cover your use of the Screen Lock mobile application. By installing or using Screen Lock you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Licence

Screen Lock is provided free of charge for personal use on devices you own or are responsible for. You may not resell it, redistribute modified copies of it, or attempt to decompile or reverse engineer it except where that right cannot lawfully be restricted.

What the lock is, and is not

Screen Lock stops touches on the screen from reaching the app underneath. It is a convenience for keeping a call going while a child holds the phone. It is not a child-safety product, a parental-control system or a kiosk lock, and it is not a guarantee: it does not supervise a child, it does not control what the call app shows, and it should be used with an adult present.

What still works through the lock

The phone’s own power button and its emergency-call function are the phone’s, and the lock does not and must not interfere with them. Android reserves some gestures and buttons for itself, and depending on the phone and its version of Android some of them may still get through — for example a long press of the power button, a notification shade pulled from the very top edge, or an incoming call’s own screen. The practice lock is there so you can see what gets through on your phone before you rely on it.

Android only

The lock depends on Android’s Display over other apps permission and its accessibility service. iOS does not provide an equivalent, so there is no iOS version of the lock, and the app does not pretend otherwise.

The permissions

The app asks for Display over other apps and an accessibility service, and uses them only as the privacy policy describes. You can withdraw either at any time in Android’s settings; the lock cannot work without them.

Advertising

Screen Lock may show ads in future. Ads, if shown, are provided by Google AdMob under Google’s own terms, and never over a locked call.

No warranty

Screen Lock is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise that it will work on every phone or with every call app, that every touch or gesture will be stopped, or that the app will be free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for a call that ended, a setting that changed, anything a child did with a phone, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Screen Lock. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes and availability

We may update, change or discontinue Screen Lock or any of its features at any time.
